Coach Cris Perkins
USPTA Elite Professional

Coach Cris Perkins started teaching tennis in 1996 in San Angelo, Texas at Goodfellow Air Force Base. After being discharged in 1997 he moved to Arlington, Texas where he did various jobs until 2003 where he accepted a position at the Arlington Tennis Center. While there in 2004 he received his USPTA certification. He also continued to learn his craft of tennis coaching.
In 2005 he moved to McLeland Tennis Center in Fort Worth where he also worked a program with the Fort Worth Tennis Association where he helped teach children at community centers after school.
From there he moved to Golfsmith Golf and Tennis to learn the retail part of the tennis industry.
In 2008 he took a position at Wagon Wheel Tennis Center in Coppell, Texas.
After resigning that position in 2010 he took to being a freelance coach, allowing him to also take contract positions with the Greater Fort Worth Tennis Association as the coordinator for Junior Team Tennis for Southern Fort Worth from 2015- 2020 where he also received the award for the JTT Coordinator of the year for the Texas Section in 2016.
From 2016 – 2020 He was also on the USTA, Texas Section Rules committee for Junior Team Tennis, serving as the Chair of that committee in 2019 and 2020.
He recently moved to the Texas Panhandle where he accepted a position at The Falls Tennis and Athletic Club as a tennis professional.

Coach Dominique (Dom) Ussery

Dom will be helping us by teaching group lessons in his hometown of Brownfield. He is also available for private lessons on appointment.

Dom is an alum of Brownfield High School participating in Coach Rich Hammons varsity high school tennis team where he competed with his brother as the school’s number one doubles team. He was a 3 time regional qualifier, district champion, team state qualifier and has a heart for God.

He also recently passed the USTA Level 1 Coaching Fundamentals Workshop and is a youth camp coordinator at Burgess Rushing Tennis Center in Lubbock.
